Get ready, Gadsden Alabama...You haven't seen the last of them yet! That's right! The Barbarian's are at it again! This isn't your Grannie's 5K! Do you have what it takes to be a Barbarian?
The Barbarian Challenge normally takes place once a year, on the 3rd Saturday in June at Noccalula Falls Park in Gadsden, AL. It is approximately 6 miles and consists of 20 plus obstacles and tough terrain. You also get to run in the gorge of the 90 ft waterfall that is the centerpiece of the park. It is the South's most scenic OCR! The Barbarian Challenge is also part of the Alabama OCR Series. 
The Barbarian Challenge also includes a Kids Challenge, which is put on by The Factory Gadsden.
It is about a 1/2 mile fun run course packed with obstacles, mud, and water! The kids are allowed to run it twice and it is NOT timed. Early registration is $15 or $20 on race day. Register earlier to assure your kids get a shirt and medal. The kid's packets will be available at the Friday packet pick up or on Race day.
